History of Eastcami (Private) Limited

Our managing director and a former director started learning the technology of office automation machines and equipments in Japan during late nineties.

The MD mastered the Japanese Language upto his full capacity getting a proficiency in speaking, writing and reading in addition to the technology. This led a close relationship with a company which deals in office automation machines under authority of manufactures. With the collaboration of that Japanese company, later those two directors started a small business called Nippon Office Automation in dealing with photocopiers alone a famous street, Mihindu Mawatha in Colombo city. MD's wife, who is currently a director, too gave her fullest co-operation to prosper this business from the beginning.

Business operations included importing, dealing, providing rental, and engineering services for photocopiers, spares and toner.

A young technician who was trained by an agent of principal manufacture joined this hardworking team early days of the propitiatory business in 1996. He lead the business to new path undertaking whole responsibility in the technical department which was popular among a large crowd of customers across the island in a short period due to its reliable and efficient works.

In 1997 this business was incorporated as a limited liability company and to be governed by a Board of Directors. Thereafter, Eastcami (Private) Limited. got a wide chance of expanding its business activities winning an authorized dealerships form world renowned spare parts manufactures, starting branch operations in Southern and Central provinces in the island.

The small business place filled with more staff, more machines and equipments and led the path to move to bigger premises in 2004 at Hulftsdorp in Colombo 12, where history is date back to Dutch regime and presently famous as the place of main court complex in Sri Lanka .

From this premises which is fully owned by the directors, company could expand their services to the customer base more conveniently and efficiently up to date.
